How to pay real estate and personal property taxes online
* Please know that there is a service fee for paying online. This fee is charged by the payment processer and not Wood County.
- To pay your taxes, you must first search for and find the ticket you want to pay. In the "Pay Property Tax" box, enter the last name followed by the first name. Enter the year you are looking up. Select the type of property in the last box and click the "go" button. Please note that Personal Property taxes are for vehicles and Real Property taxes are for real estate.
- The next page will show you the search results. Please note that not all tickets displayed may be yours. Once you find your ticket, click on the shopping cart icon to add that ticket to the cart. If the icon is light gray and not clickable, it is likely that your taxes have already been paid. Add other tickets as needed.
- Click on the Text/Name Search blue button.
- Click on the cart icon at the top right and click the checkout button to checkout.
- A new window should open to WV iPay. If it does not open, please check that you do not have a pop-up blocker on, or follow your browser’s prompts to allow the pop up.
- Make sure that the transaction summary is correct and enter your credit card address and payment info.
- Once it is complete you should receive a confirmation email.
